Grief and Loss

Grief is a universal condition rooted in the process of human attachment and will touch us all in some part of our life. Grief comes about by losing something of value.

Loss can be in the form of a death of a loved one including a pet, the end of a relationship, moving geographically, declining health or losing part of ones self, a skill or an ability and loss of a job.

I can help you by offering a nurturing and caring environment to explore and understand your feelings so that you can move through your grief and readjust to a new world without forgetting the old and go on to reinvest in a meaningful life.

Child Development and Effective Parenting

Learning to communicate with children is the foundation of effective parenting along with developing and maintaining an open, trusting child/parent relationship.


How can I help?

I can help parents with some of the common challenges of parenting including aggressive behaviour, childhood worries & anxiety and fostering the development of self-esteem.

Relationship Breakdowns

When there are problems in a relationship it can be very distressing causing feelings of anger, guilt, sadness, grief, isolation and low self-esteem. A relationship breakdown is painful as you not only risk the loss of a relationship, but also your identity, shared dreams and your relationships with extended family and friends. Sometimes the fear of the unknown future can be worse than an unhappy relationship.


How can I help?

I can help you by assisting you to gain greater insight, clarity and understanding of yourself and the issues that affected your relationship as well as helping you acknowledge the part that you may have played in the relationship breakdown. I can offer you a non-judgmental and understanding environment where you can gain inner strength and confidence to cope regardless of whatever the outcome might be.

Depression and Anxiety

Women by nature are carers and nurturers and we carry a great amount of responsibility on our shoulders. Many women for many reasons will experience anxiety and/or depression in their lifetime. Major life events along with some negative life experiences can have an impact on our mental health and ability to cope.

I can help you by providing an understanding environment where you can talk through your sadness, and help you explore ways to work through and cope with the fear that is consuming you so that you can then go on to regain a sense of control and confidence in your everyday life.
